This carbon is made from high quality anthracite under strictly controlled conditions- grind into powder-- use coal tar to bind powder-- extrude into cylindrical particles-- carbonize-- activated. The carbon has high mechanical strength, low ash, uniform grain size, desirable specific surface area and developed pore structure, especially micropore system. Also the carbon had high rate of adsorption, low bed resistance, readily regeneration and repeated utilization. The carbon is suitable for adsorption, air purification, solvent recovery, desulphurization, water purification, acting as catalyst carrier.
